Millennium Pediatrics Policies

Vaccine Philosphy

We believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the AAP and the CDC. Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections, and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.

We are willing to discuss your concerns about vaccines at your child's well visit and will consider alternate vaccine schedules that still meet AAP guidelines. We will not agree to any alternative schedule that puts your child or other patients at increased risk of contracting a vaccine-preventable disease. In addition, we are no longer signing vaccine exemption forms and are not accepting new patients that refuse vaccines.

Appointments

Millennium Pediatrics takes pride in offering a range of providers and appointment times to accommodate your schedule. Please call our office to schedule any appointments and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of their ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Late Appointments

Please plan to arrive at our office at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after your appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule. Providers will do their best to see you if possible but the time lost from a 15 minute appointment may be too significant and we do not want to rush your visit. We understand that occasionally something unexpected may delay you and ask that you contact our office as soon as possible in that case.

Cancellations/No Shows

24 hour notice is required for cancellations so that we can best accommodate our other patients. Failure to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment or no show will result in a $45 fee. Cancellation or no show for same day sick appointments will also be billed a $45 fee.

Payment Options

We accept checks, cash or credit cards. Flexible payment plans are available, please contact us to discuss. Credit card payments may be made via your patient portal, the quickpay portal identified on your patient statement, or by calling our front desk. It is important to make sure your insurance information is up to date before any appointment so we can file your claim properly. Incorrect insurance information may result in denials or delays that lead to higher costs for you.

For more details on our financial and privacy policies see new patient paperwork. These policies are also included each time you register electronically for your appointment.
